Mikey works for the Harmony Protocol in their Partnerships & Ecosystem division.
Mikey is the node operator for Farmony One; a validator on the Harmony blockchain since June 2021. A staunch Harmonaut community member and small/unelected validator champion. ValidatorDAO term2 governor and a guru of Harmony governance participation.
Besides being heavily engrained in the Harmony ecosystem and being an advocate for all things Harmonious, Mikey has an eclectic background. He has worked in the film industry for 8 years. Working on ABC and CBS studio shows such as Army Wives and Reckless. As well as more independent films across Lifetime and Hallmark. His career spanned across several roles and departments. He was an Assistant Locations Manager, Unit Production Manager, and Production Office Coordinator. These time-crunching, budget-strained, and resource-managing roles has given him great insight in best practices for managing projects and people.
Why is my emoji a 🐐?
- Since 2010 Mikey has sporadically worked at a second home. It’s a place where he could go between film productions, or semesters, and reconnect with hisself. If he ever started to lose touch of reality he could go back to this second home and ground himself. This place is Split Creek Farm. A small Grade A Goat Dairy. Home to over 200+ goats, a variety of sanctuary animals including a mustang, pigs, ducks and cats, countless chickens, border collies and guard dogs. He would work, everyday, weeks and sometimes months at a time. He would milk the goats, clean the pens, mow the pastures, tend to the animals, and make the most delicious goat cheese on Earth.
Seeing the 🐐 is a constant reminder for me to stay grounded, to reconnect, and to remember that life is beautiful. It’s a reminder to try and become my greatest self. The greatest of all time.

DAO Operations 🧠 [[⌛]] - on hold
🚨DAO Ops are suspended due to a refocus of resources and grant allocations🚨
DAO Ops role will be a critical component that will allow Harmony to scale the ever-expanding list of DAOs on the ecosystem. This role will focus on several key areas:
DAO Directory Page
The DAO Directory contains the latest information about all Harmony DAOs and it should be kept up to date with information such as:
- Names of current governors
- Election cycle dates
- Multisig wallet address
- Link to governance tool (Snapshot, Aragon etc)
- Social links
- Funding information
DAO Onboarding/Guidelines
The DAO Onboarding document will help onboard new DAOs. This will include information for newly elected governors detailing the tooling and responsibilities. It should provide instructions to help governors manage proposals, create timesheets, request funding etc.
Timesheets
Every month governors are required to submit their timesheets. These would need to follow the onboarding guidelines above. The manager will need to review them to make sure they follow the required format. This will be important to make sure they receive future funding.
Grant Proposals
The manager should be responsible for reviewing all new DAO proposals on the grant application forum. They will work with the applicant to make sure it follows the grant guidelines, ask questions, and assess if it’s a compelling proposal worth funding.
Support
The manager will be the first point of contact for any issues related to managing DAOs. This includes responding to queries on social channels.
Tooling Research
We need to port as many DAO tools as possible to give our ecosystem a choice to select the right tools that fit their requirements. Part of the role is to constantly research and evaluate new tools and propose which we should port to Harmony.

- 🦒 Brian Felsen: Mikey has shown a great work ethic and enthusiasm for diving into whatever project he's been migrated into. His strengths have been people-focused, and he has executed on the partnerships with fiat onramps; he even has taken lead on the Monday all-hands meetings, keeping people focused on reporting progress and also on making sure people communicate details of all new initiatives across departments. His background in NFTs and his move to LA give him great potential to work with communities not only in the NFT space, but in business development as well.
- 🎤 Matty McDonald: I have long felt that Mikey has been underutilized at Harmony. He is a very hard worker, has solid techinical knowledge, and can be utilized effectively across nearly every initiative. He is a very strong communicator, people enjoy working with him, and he maintains good integrity while being highly dependable. It is a no-brainer to keep him on the team, and I advocate for his hours to be increased so he can take on additional duties.
