Background

Testnet has been for a very long time the defacto developer platform to test their application, however with upcoming network protocol development (resharding, full externalization with external leader, etc …) the testnet uptime hasn’t been great. There is a need now to start promotion devnet for the developer

Devnet has been up and running since February 2022 and hasn’t been used a lot. We have now more and more developer coming to the platform and there new requirements that are being added.

Devnet will be a network with the same feature as Mainnet but without staking as there are no external node operator. Testnet in the contrary will have the greatest and latest update and will be subject to more frequent outages.

This document will be a live document on the feature requested on the devnet from the community
