What Didn't Go Well
Great 20'x20' space, decor, setup, location — great job team!
Ticketing and Food line was terrible, had to DoorDash our own food (first day came at 3:30pm!) Should plan better next time on feeding the team.
Playbook to meet up with people worked really well, got a really good set of connections.
Registration to the conference was horrible for anyone who arrived after 10am, the panels weren't well moderated (or moderated at all), the placement of the panels was awkward, and incoherent schedules resulted in low attendance
Displaying projects built on Harmony at the booth was invaluable — attendees expressed they were happy to see this multiple times
Wifi connectivity was bad as it is common in this type of events
Lodging: You all had a place to sleep.
The conference was far from the city, where the action after 5pm was.
Improved relationship between the projects and the Harmony team, opening the door to new type of collaborations
The booth was always full of people and engagement with public was constant and very dynamic, people was interested and they got all the answers to their questions

Retro Action Items

  • Advanced ticketing must be issued for future events to ALL attendees
  • Site planning should prep for food arrangements as well. Too bad food trucks were discouraged on site.
  • Wifi connectivity is usually bad in events, so we might set a plan for a backup the team when possible
