Acquire Users

BlockFi and Celsius have recently stopped offering their high interest stablecoin products to US customers due to the products being considered “unregulated securities”. This was a major blow to DeFi as the the common “unaccredited investor” lost one of their easiest avenues to low-risk, high-yield on their fiat holdings. These rulings left a vacuum of US customers accustomed to this service in the

Proposal

Launch a small marketing campaign promoting how to earn high-interest on stablecoins using DeFi products on Harmony, targeting this subset of over 500,000 retail US customers who used BlockFi and Celsius.

Acquire Devs

Ganesha mentioned Devs want to see activity, and they want to connect with our current devs to get a feel for the environment.

Proposal

  • Add a Github activity visualizer and counter to the website homepage.
  • Add a button “Ask our Devs!”
    • Add a Calendly link for “Drop-In” meetings with our Devs, maybe a half hour slot 1-3 times a week?
    • Add a “Live Chat” widget with automated responses to FAQs and ticket creator that can send more complex questions to a team member.
  • “Join a Hackathon” button.
    • Calendly sign-up slots for a monthly hackathon, hosted by our Devs (respecting their bandwidth).
    • Limit sign-up spots to limit workload on our devs and increase competitiveness of applicants grabbing the slots.

Increase Assets

Increasing assets starts with wallet creation. Once people have created a wallet, they need gas to interact with dApps in our ecosystem.

Proposal

  • Add a Harmony Faucet (0.01 ONE) on the homepage.
    • A faucet would give people more of a reason to create wallet as they can claim “free stuff”.
    • Any balance above “zero” sparks curiosity of further possibilities.
    • Users who accidentally send all their ONE will have comfort knowing they can visit the Harmony homepage to get enough gas to keep driving.
