About Eduard
Eduard Peris i Deprez is the managing director of Impact Plus, a blockchain for social impact organisation whose objective is to explore how blockchain initiatives may have a real impact in people’s lives, such as strengthening digital identities, improving value chains, reducing fraudulent elections, combating corruption, and preserving land and medical records. He previously supported the United States Institute of Peace (USIP) on a police reform program across the Sahel and has held the position of Niger Country Director for USAID’s countering violent-extremism flagship program for the Sahel from 2012 to 2014. He has experience working in Afghanistan on human-security related projects in Helmand and Kandahar provinces. His development expertise is backed up by six years of experience in export trade finance with Deutsche Bank in Barcelona, Frankfurt, Amsterdam and Jakarta.
