Scope

  • Fiat Buys
  • NFT Mints
  • New Users

The Problem

Fans want celebrities to sign collectibles. This is not currently possible for digital goods. Creators need a web3 solution for the autograph interaction with their fans. If creators look to sell NFTs to access additional revenue streams they must provide more utility to their NFTs.

The Solution

Creators will mint NFTs that will be available for sale to fans. If fans realize that they can get these NFTs signed by the artist they are more likely to engage in a fiat buy for the artist. Fans show their NFT to the artist which includes a QR code that the artist can scan, which activates the smart contract which applies the artist’s signature visually and cryptographically on the NFT. The fan thus receives a signed NFT, justifying their fiat buy and successfully raising funds for the artist.

Artist Experience (Pre-Production)

  • Mint one or more (series) NFTs using a web-app
    • Artist can mint any form of media (JPG, WAV, MP3, MP4, etc)
    • Artist Sets the Price
    • NFT QR code is generated in the background for each NFT
  • Artist is asked how many signatures will be linked to the work(s). Artist inputs amount of signatures they desire to use.
  • Artist will draw their signature(s) over the work(s) on a transparant 2nd layer on top of original work. If the series has for example 10,000 works, they can just sign once an apply to all. Each signature is analogous to an accessory an NFT (example: avatar adds a hat to their picture)
  • Artist will have the opportunity to re-position and re-size their signature to fit to their liking
  • Once signature layers are complete (1 layer per signature), artist mints the signature layers, tying the signature layers to the artist and work.
  • Now artist can “sign” any fan’s NFT using their signature.
  • Artist can sell additional accessories like TokenFrames (NFT picture frames) as add on accessories for their NFT sales. (NOT US)

Fan Experience (at event)

  • Fan purchases artist’s NFT
  • Fan waits in line during an artist NFT signing event
  • Fan taps their NFT, it flips over or lightbox pops up to reveal and display a QR code
  • Artist uses their camera to scan the QR code. This action represents a version of signing like if they were using a Sharpie pen.
  • Artist is asked via a popup “do you want to sign?”
  • Artist says yes
  • Fan’s NFT is now accessoried with the signature which changes the metadata of the NFT and displays the composite with the buyer.
  • Fan has 2 choices:
    • Keep signed NFT for emotional connection
    • Sell the signed NFT on a marketplace
  • Fan has additional (future) integrated possibilities:

Resources

This will take you to the page where you can edit the metadata of your NFT. Once you are there, this is where you will need coding knowledge in order to make the changes you desire to the metadata of your NFT. Do note that if your NFT is a video, gif, or other moving image, it will take a few additional steps to change.
